Old Varjiravudh failed to show up at the Royal Bangkok Sports Club last evening and the game a was declared a bye. The Banger Colts were at full strength for what was expecting to be a tough encounter.
This did not faze the Bangers. With 30 player to pick from, team management quickly divided the players into two squads, one side turning their jersies inside out and played a game. This was no kick and giggle affair. Both sides went at each other like express trains. Performance not a result is what mattered, and the two sides delivered.
The game was controlled by Thailand’s first woman’s registered referee, who did a good job of pinging offenders for any rule violations.
