Last Sunday the Banger Colts secured the points in hard-earned win in a "sea of mud" the against the Bangkok Japanese in a TRU competition at the Royal Naval Academy
In the first half the Bangers were dominant. However, it took nearly 20 minutes to get the first try. The Colts had been taking the play to the Japanese for the majority of the half. The forwards were dominating in the maul and scrum and the backs were looking sharp with the ball they received. It was scintillating stuff given the state of the pitch.
The second half was a different affair and the Bangkok Japanese stepped up. The Colts needed to get a grip to get back into the contest. They showed character. Their defense inside their own 22 meter was stubborn and resolute and capitalized on Japanese handling errors on the Banger try line on two occasions.
The game was a nail-biter that saw the Colts win against a Bangkok Japanese side who could have won it.
Adrien Simon was Man of the Match, controlling the back line with flair and style all afternoon. Final Score : Banger Colts 19. Bangkok Japanese 12
