On Sunday, the Banger Colts played the Thai Army B side. The Bangers started very slowly. The heat coupled with the well earned hangovers from watching the Rugby World Cup on the Saturday were challenges to overcome. The army side scored the first points. Not content to lie down, the Bangers backs played some superb rugby mesmerizing the Army back line, creating space for Steve Brockett to score in his debut game. Later in the stanza the Bangers were caught on the back foot and the Thai Army scored to lead at the end of the half.

In the second period it was different story The Banger forward stepped up taking control from the kick off. Feeding off good ball from the forwards the backs scored two well worked tries.The tables had turned. Later in the period a set piece produced a fine try to half back Andrew Raming. James Corlett sealed the victory scoring the final try. Roberto Goulo the team skipper, had a great day with boot converting 5 of the 6 tries. Steve Brockett was named Man Of The Match.
