Last Thursday evening, the Colts beat the Southerners in the second round of the RBSC competition and retained the Soi 33 Cup. It was a tough match, with both sides contributing a journeyman display of power rugby. As would be expected, there were a couple of clashes during the evening however, this did not distract from the spectacle.
One pleasing aspect of the game, was the Colts composure when dubious umpire calls could have swung the game in favor of the Southerners. The Banger forwards and backs combined well all night, with Nick McBride scoring two opportunist tries to seal the victory. Final score : Banger Colts 12. Southerners 0
