The Bangers swim team were in action last Saturday at Patana school to help out a worthy cause. They showed great team and family spirit by showing up to swim for an hour in a charity relay to help children in developing countries to learn about swimming and water safety. We started strong with one swimmer per lap followed by two at the 45 minute mark and 3 swimmers for the final 5 minutes. The Bangers placed a surprising first in the hour relay while many teams continued for another 11 hours. It was a great success and team effort and just goes to show how versatile our rugby club is in rising to the occasion.
