The ritual Bloody Marys at Wall Street club rooms at 6.00 am, herald the start of a long day for the Bangers at their annual club golf tournament. Some have suggested that calling it a tournament in the first place is stretching it a little. By the time the buses arrived at the suburban Bangkok course and disgorged the participants, they were feeling no pain and well insulated for the contest ahead.
It was a great day out. It can best be described as a walk of amber fluid beverage stops with little golf in between. However, there was some honor at stake and prizes were handed out at the end at post tournament lunch to the eight teams for their achievements on the day. The Chesa team took the top prize.
Then it was back on the bus for the liquor assisted ride back to Wall Street, in time to try and watch some international rugby. Tour organizers have said it was the best one yet and would like to thank the tournament sponsors, ACH Management, Chesa Swiss Restaurant, Ambleside Consultants, Moonshine Bar, Regal Guest House and Swiss Air who made it all possible.
