It was no "Silent Night" as the Bangers, wives, off spring and girlfriends turned for the annual Banger carol singing festival at the Red&White Sky Lounge. Old hands say this was the best one yet. Getting the Bangers to sing at these evenings has always been a challenge however, this year you could not hold them back.
One of the evening highlights is the Banger Nationality Sing Off where each nation presents a number from their country of origin. This never disappoints with standout performances this year from the Samoan, English, French, Dutch, American, Aussie and Kiwi communities
Earlier in the afternoon, in a warm up for the evening ahead, the Bangers played a little rugby. With 16 nationalities amongst the playing membership, it was not a difficult assignment to arrange a Northern Hemisphere – Southern Hemisphere contest. For the record the Southern Hemisphere won.
